@MightyNifty has the game gotten any better in the last year?

I was excited to hear that a Rocksmith plus was released for console last week. I have dabbled with the 2014 version but found the way the notes were displayed was confusing after many years of playing with tabs. The first few reviews that I watched were all sponsored with people giving them glowing reviews so when I saw this video I knew I was going to get a honest opinion. Unfortunately everything that Ubisoft has touched within the last few years has been a money grab. They have single-handedly ruined just about every franchise that they had originally built up and are a shell of their former selves. Only concerned about microtransactions and pushing out half-baked products. That being said thanks a lot for the review I guess I will just redownload 2014 to scratch the itch

I disagree with a lot you have to say about the game but regardless, the video is well done.

OK.. here's some GOOD advice... do NOT use a cheap knock-off guitar... get a GOOD one. you don't need to spend thousands of dollars but try to get a good name brand. I tried with a cheap Chinese Strat clone... it would not keep in-tune. I tried with a Gibson clone...also would not stay in tune. I bought a used Gibson Epiphone... sadly it would NOT stay in tune either. I quit playing the game for years.. I recently bought a used Ibanez from a pawn shop. sure it needed some work,,, pots were shot, the string height was super high, it had screws missing on the face plate. it does need new strings( who ever put the strings on it had no clue what they were doing). BUT all in all the Ibanez plays very good and it hold the tunning. I bought the Ibanez GIO for $80... can't go wrong with that.

I downloaded the game and went straight to the song list just to see what all they had. No Nirvana, Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Shinedown, Three Days Grace, System of a Down, Bullet For my Valentine, or Slaughter to Prevail. I instantly deleted it.

Fine, ill play it again.

Even a year+ on youve managed to inspire me to try learning guitar again. I definitley feel rocksmith could help and i hope to be as good as you someday

i wish there were more feedback, id like to see animation bassed feedback so the string that im playing vibrate on the virtual guitar and something to represent the fret i was on.

8:09 hit the nail BANG on the head. This application SHOULD be fantastic SHOULD being key, the dev's have shown what they can do but held back by the greedy and corruption at Ubisoft we all know about it. The devs want to show what they really can do but the scum at the top won't allow it or locks it behind a stupidly expensive pay wall. 27:25 again hitting the head, do you trust the publisher, it's Ubisoft! NO one should trust them, they are trying their very best to outdo EA and Activision at the moment with their bad customer practises. This application now it's on PS4 and PS5 is £120 a year or £17 a MONTH, I can get Ultimate-Guitar for £25 for the year on offer at the moment. The application is still missing so many features, no guitarcade, no score attack, it should have 7 string and 5 string bass support by now if they can add a piano then other string support could be added, it's ALWAY online which is a big no no, it's Ubisoft so they can take the game at will and there is nothing you can do about it, IE The Crew 1. You DON'T OWN THIS application. RS+ Vs. RS14 is a carbon copy of the Assassins Creed 4 Vs. Skull and bones. They did a perfect job with AC4 and RS14 but then a decade later they release a follow up and made it worse ALOT worse cut content and want more money for it. RS+ is a scam in it's current model and I wouldn't say it's worth no more than £40 a year, yes there is a license fee to pay for the songs but it's Ubisoft they are well know scammers at this point and how much is actually going into the executives pockets at Ubisoft and how little is going to the licensing and worse how little going to the developers. Sorry for the outburst but people "influencers" or RS+ have been pushing heavy against the RS14 community trying to shove RS+ down everyones throat when they clear don't trust ubisoft or the business model. Great honest review love it.

For me dodging using the triggers are better than moving my finger away for dodging. Also the start of the game where they show the backstory of Kratos is only in the remastered.

I tried to get this bc I saw it had Hum songs. Loaded them and it was a clean tone with wrong charts. Canceled my subscription after that lol

If they had Abby's Story before Joel's Death and Gave Joel a Nickname since they wouldn't-shouldn't know his name and then have Ellie's Story. It would make The story better and we would relate more with Abby's Friends before we gut them as Ellie. Love The Game-play. I DON'T LIKE THIS STORY! Esse jogo vem de uma ideia muito linda que é simplificar e usar a tecnologia pra desmistificar música, eu sempre achei muito futurista e bem pensada a forma que ele funciona, mas como sempre o capitalismo estragou tudo, se tivesse uma alternativa de código aberto onde as pessoas pudessem fazer as charts pra agregar a biblioteca desfalcada de títulos seria perfeito

Incredible game for season has aged very well in recent years It would be amazing if there were others Gods In this third game like: Hypnos,Demeter,Dionysus,Apollo,Artemis,Eros,Eris,Íris and Hestia with the grandchildrens of Zeus what could have been added to the game like: Triton,Hecate,Asclepius,Orpheus,Macaria and Melinoe since they are Sons of Apollo,Hestia,Hades and Poseidon another thing that also Ares,Aphrodite,Hephaestus & Athena they also have Childrens too It's a shame that these Characters/Gods didn't appear in the game who knows in the future.. I believe there could still be two games of the Greek Mythology to close the saga and in the current games of Norse Mythology what is now happening in this new saga and mythology there would be a lot to do with more two games a sixth game and the origin game with many story dlcs especially in the Ragnarok that I definitely believe surely there will be more and a curiosity: we almost had a fight against Echidna the mother of all Demons and Creatures of the Greek mythology a shame it was cut and it would have been a fight on behind the Gaia's back in a forest certainly at the beginning of the game from this third game and we almost had the NPC Ixion as one of the puzzles in the underworld in the game that he would die in one of the traps that we would try to uncover to pass the level that was cut very sad that it didn't happen.. and all these things and Gods with yours Childrens/DemiGods was cut from the final version content and they were not added/placed in the game.. 🤔🥺🤧🙏🙏 like and Bye!

I don't know if anyone told you but Hades is the ruler of the underworld (Hades) and Thanatos is the embodiment of death, and it's his job to fetch souls and make sure none escape.

Honestly was super keen to try pickup guitar with RS+, but the songlist is too limited. Many of the Asian rock legends aren’t even available, which i grew up listening. Really disappointing.

I don't get it. Do you want to just hold ↑ to win with no obstacles or level design in your way? Sounds like the same kind of flawed concept that the 3D Sonic games adopted.

This review was solid, for the most part. However, I find it glaring that he didn't mention the impact this game had FOR GAMES THAT WERE MADE IN THE FUTURE. Most of the developers of these games cite Team ICO as their inspiration.

I've been trying to get RS to work since the update that broke it for many people. I'm certain there are many different people who can't play RS still. So, lemme just list some random possible fixes, the last one being the one that worked for me. (trust me, it's stupid and I wanna cry in a corner thinking about all the time I spend looking for a fix when it was smth this dumb all along :,) at least for me) Well, here we go, possible fix Nr.1: Run MSConfig. Click on Boot tab Select advanced tab click number of processors. Set it to 12 or another number and it may launch without a problem, no guarantee tho. So when you want to play Rocksmith set it to 12 or another number of processors, restart and play. Possible fix Nr.2: 1. Right click RS2014 2. Properties... 3. Betas... 4. Enter JustInCaseWeNeedIt and check code 5. Select "previous_version" beta 6. Wait for install to finish (if already updated) 7. Reinstall CDLC mod again (if needed) 8. Enjoy RS2014 with mods Possible fix Nr.3: 1. Right click RS2014 2. Properties... 3. Installed data... 4. Click Verify integrity of game files Possible fix Nr.4: Go in your Steam folder, right click on "Steam", the application, run it as administrator. Just to be sure, run "GameOverlayUI" as administrator as well Possible fix Nr.5: Literally just turn off Bluetooth on your device... I have no idea why this worked for me, no clue at all :< Well, hope this might help some people who r having some problems getting RS to work :)

You want to watch a movie or play a game? I feel like the Devs had to figure out a way to make a new version of Jak fit and did the best with what they could at the time. For me this game is and always has been amazing. It’s a masterpiece compared to something like the New God of War games

I'm not going to lie, The phrase "artificial difficulty spikes" Hits me like nails on a chalkboard. I'm not sure if you knew this or not buddy but it's a video game and it's all artificial. Like none of it's real. I'm getting so tired of people reviewing video games that came out 20 years ago and talking about him in a modern context. For its time Jack 2 was the undisputed GOAT and without it I don't think video games would be near where they are today.

i liked the puzzles and boss fights. the horde of enemies with constant bad telegraphed attacks and often stun locking you is frustrating but i got used to dodging to maintain my rage meter by the end. it's just do a combo, dodge away, repeat, not very intuitive but i got through all that bs somehow.

yall are saying the relationship between him and is daughter is out of character. so yall just completely forgot the ENTIRE REASONING OF HIM FIGHTING THE GODS IS HIS DAUGHTER AND WIFE, he always loved them more than anything and would be with them and sacrifice sparta to be with them again, he went to fight for sparta and ares tricked him in killing both his wife and daughter. thus betraying the gods for what they did and with nothing left by his side he fight for whats left under his feet which is sparta its self

Idk why... But whenever I watch a retrospective... It's glaringly obvious that they didn't play the game in its entirety... God of wars God mode is one of the hardest games I've ever played. They come in it as if it's easy because they're playing it on easy. On easy you can play the game and not differentiate in between your tactics. When you're playing it on the motor difficult settings you have to learn the other attacks. And utilize them when the time is needed.

One more thing made the DLC for 2014 better. You owned it. Or at least had the illusion you did. Once you downloaded it it was yours. I don't trust that RS+ will last long. I gotta pay 99$ a year for songs that in a few years will be unreachable thanks to the servers going offline? Or earlier once Ubisoft lose the license.

I think Jak X is worth retrospecting. It’s still Naughty Dog and honestly feels like a sequel. Plus he finally ends up with Keira in that one.

I disagree the combat in Horizon is so mutch more better fun than in zelda. In zelda I found myself avoiding combat I felt like I was losing weapons and rewards where not good. In Horizon because you get monster parts to craft ammo and plus the upgrades and exp you get by killing a monsters you allways feel like you gained more on fights than losing. Horizon also has mutch better enemy variety forcing you to fight enemies differently there are so many different machines. Zelda just few different basic enemies witch you fight them over and over it just gets repetetive. Also in Horizon my opinion better variety on weapons, you have traps bows, big machineguns and spear zelda just has 3 different melee weapons with not so much difference plus bow and some staff witch you never use. Plus in horizon you can even hack the monsters and make them fight along side you what botw doesn't have! Ok in zelda you can push a boulder on enemies but it's so rare and the damage it does is not worth the effort. I do like in zeldas the shield bash flury rush moves but later in the end the enemies feel like they have just have more hp and just take longer to kill where as in horizon you just get stronger and take down even bigger enemies in the end game.

I literally used this for 4 years and 10 years of playing guitar I still use this but I usually watch a UA-cam video while plugged into my rig definitely glad I have it a chance when I was 14

Kratos you're way too big Ok

I just played through this game for the first time since I was a child and the game is good but frustrating. At first I wondered if it was modern gamer not having the quality of life improvements you'd expect but his game pales in comparison to the first Ratchet and Clank, a similar third person shooter platformer. In that game you can actually aim rather than just firing like a madman hoping you hit something and most importantly has a strafe ability!
